Get Your Miles In … McKinley Monday

When Monday rolls around, sometimes the easiest thing to do is to hit the snooze button. For some Monday on their marathon training schedule is a rest day, for others it is a recovery day. This morning the few kiddos that showed up wanted to get in some miles as part of their training plan, others just wanted to run.

The 5:30, 6 and 6:25AM groups are all about getting in some miles for Monday and to start the week off running. Today we came 3 people strong, with Monday being our newest added date it is understandable to have a low number, but keep in mind it is just about running and chatting. Today consisted of conversation about fun miles and plans to conquer to California International Marathon and other upcoming fall races like the Urban Cow Half Marathon.

After folks got their miles in, we spent some time doing some stretches. I mean let’s be honest, we all know how important stretching is, but we never really do it. Monday’s make us do it!

So if burpees and other crazy ass workouts scare you, come out and join us on Monday’s for some running, stretching and chatting.
