“If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you.” ― Fred DeVito
Everyone is unique, why would be ever want to change? I think the key to a challenge is to continue to see your own personal limits, we shouldn’t look for challenges to change us, but we should look for challenges to help us continue to become a better and stronger version of us.
Challenges aren’t always about running itself or athletic performance, but often times it is the courage and bravery to put yourself out there when it comes to a challenge or even think of attaining / conquering that challenge to set up for the next one. A challenge doesn’t always have to be a competition. I mean let’s be honest, there will always be someone faster, stronger, smarter or whatever that skill set is.
How do you challenge yourself daily? I mean some challenges or goals really do need to scare the shit out of us, because that’s what makes it fun, the journey of trying to conquer that challenge is just as important as the main goal or challenge itself.
Challenges don’t need to be that crazy even, how about giving a high-five to another random runner? How about training with a new group of people, or even people who are faster than you. Even with our own workout groups at 9RUN6 people tend to partner up with the same people, how about challenging yourself to always partner up with a different person each workout, when possible.
The 9RUN6 goal of this post is to encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and step up to challenges. Time to get after all those things you want and make it happen!
